Abri has has exchanged contracts with Countryside Properties to provide 109 affordable, sustainable homes at the Garlick’s Arch development, near Guildford.
The scheme, which is subject to planning permission, will include 62 affordable homes for rent and 47 for shared ownership. The new energy-efficient homes will help tackle the national demand for low-cost and high-quality housing. The homes will be built around an open public space and will have sustainable features, such as solar panels and electric car charging points. The Garlick’s Arch development will contribute to Abri’s target to deliver 1,000 new homes a year by 2030.
Sam Stone, Associate Director of Land and Planning at Abri, said: “We’re excited to bring innovative and sustainable features to the development, to increase energy efficiency for homeowners as well as to protect the environment by reducing the community’s carbon footprint.”
